So the last time i posted here was the 11th of may - way back in the olden days, back when times were simpler, money grew on trees and men were allowed to beat their wives.
I mean, wait.. what?
Hey guys, Its Gazz here.
Its been far too long since i lasted posted on the blog, so let me take this oppurtunity to do so.
Although way back it was 'tradition' to sum up the weekends events, with so many weekends past ill have to content myself with recapping on the last 2-3 months for Primal.
So i guess one of the most important things is turnover,
As is the way with life, shit happens, things change and ultimately not everyone can continue to commit to the environment that is Endgame Raidzors.
Thorval
Noxferatus
Facepants
All 3 of these dudes were with Primal at the start, in those first few weeks (our first 4/12 even).
For whatever reason/s they have left us, and id like to take a few lines here to thank for the contributions they made and the time they spend in our guild.
Thanks dudes.
So on to progression then;
For a dedicated 10 man guild, progression is our aim,
back in april when the guild was formed we set out our goals, very simply:
-Get LK by the end of september
-Love doing it
-Enjoy each others company.
The first goal; Killing LK -
It still hasnt been achieved, and although many of us have now seen the fight, thanks to pugging, or to random raidlock steals - we have yet to down Sindragosa, and fight this expansions final encounter. HOWEVER! it is still not september, and with a newly bolstered roster, i have every hope that the attendance issues that have plagued the last few months are gone and a new era of crushing bosses has begun.
The second goal; love doing it -
Is there a single member of Primal, who was there the night Veld graphically described bluewaffle, that can say they were NOT splitting their sides with laughter?
Is there a single member of Primal, who can say that they have not enjoyed the fun and.. at times, stupidity Primal Raiding has to offer? - Pulling 4 wardens pre-marrowgar, yeah we couldve avoided, did we? no - did we complain? no.
The third goal; Enjoy each others company -
If you have ever been in a hardcore raiding guild, youll know how different primal is, our Gchat banter is not known for its intelligence or even stability, but goddamn we are a friendly bunch - ive yet to see a single member sledge another with any real malice (except maybe the guild trolls, Snaj and Doc)
Simply put: Primal is still achieving its mission statement; we are still kicking ass, we are still being a tightknit group of dudes and dudettes..
And we are still here.

x^2 + 4x^2 + 4 = 0, Thats a parabola, and 7/12 is sheer pwn.
Hey guys,
Another week has be apologising for being so late, infact.. shit! i didnt even make a post last week.
So lets start there eh?
The long weekend had us down healer and tank combo, Eka & Jez and so to compensate Primal had a badge run set to go at the usual time..
With 40% pugged members we set out;
Clearing our way with slight difficulty through 4/12 we found ourselves deep amidst plague quater trash,
Upon reaching Festergut we found our heals lacking, and our survivability out the door, and so sadly had to call the run there.
Skipping well forward and out of that doom and gloom lets take a step back through time and into last weekends raidering:
Saturday night saw us without Face, Veld or Me.. oh no wait, Gazz was there xP
Using a new recruit and now back up tank 'Windstone' we powered through 5/12 within 2 hours and quickly found ourselves infront of a big decision;
The decision was such: Carry on? or call it there so the whole raid can have attempts at Rotface the next night.
Management decided to play on the nights good fortunes, and we carried on;
...
And we one shot Rot.
I guess thats what a night of wipes will do to a man eh?
Thoroughly buoyed by our success Primal went to bed, ready to continue the next night.
Sunday night had a full team present, and heading over to Dreamwalker tension was.. high?
After 2 solid attempts the team was looking like they were going to make it, heals were pounding out the HpS, and the DPS were truly on ball.
A 3rd attempt saw Gazz shit his pants, and Primal go 7/12.
What will the next weekend bring for Primal? another recitation of the meaning and etomology of Blue Waffle by Veld?
or perhaps... Face's dinner... halfway through a raid?
Discussion etc. is open in the comments, feel free to say whatever.
well.. not 'whatever' but you know what i mean.
If you have any decent screenshots, please email them to: sebsta360@hotmail.com
And they can get up on the homepage!

And then he was an Elf?
Hello,
week 5 in ICC eh?
pretty good eh?
PRETTY SWEET!
So, another saturday night run, this time going from an early 6:30, sees us clear 5/12 with no hassle, included the cleanest Deathbringer kill this side of Filp's ego.
Having the knowledge that we would continue on sunday night relieved alot of the stress, and after one shotting Fester ( HAH - ed.) we were beaming with pride, and many of us found it hard to sleep (resulting in a fail Gruul's run - hehe)
Taking ourselves one step back, friday night was a chill event, although not nearly a full primal run we cleared ToC in around 2 hours, and with barely a scratch.. lag issues for Filp kept him out and considering I (Gazz) had had the same issue the previous week, i sympathised.. Suck!
This post is being typed in a hurry, as i realise its wednesday and i still haven't gotten a weekly post out! :O shame on me eh?
Id like to provide quotes from the raids, but to be perfectly honest we ran through both ToC and 5/12 so quickly and smoothly there was barely time for it.
So, jumping around once again lets discuss sunday; or 'Progression Night'
11 wipes on Rotface.. *sigh*
What really really annoys me the most, is that in our final attempt for the night, we could have had him, were it not for my own personal internet issues, although everyone was having lag issues, and they were definetly inhibiting performance i cant help but feel shamed for my almost AFK presence during the fight.
Something like 11 attempts had us call it, but what is notable is that Rot is purely a control based fight, and so that many wipes simply means within several more it will 'click' for those who still havent got it, and all of a sudden it will be just as easy as Fester.
Unfortunately however, Management has called a plain 5/12 this coming weekend, as dedicated veteran and officer, Jez and Eka respectively will both be away visiting family during the long break.
I urge anyone who will be facing similar issues to talk to Myself (Gazz) or Filp, just so that we know.
Toodles from me guys, intelligent discussion is open in comments :P
Cyas all later!

ICC10 - Attempt #4
Hey guys :D Gazz here;
Just makin' the weekly post.. and this one will sum up our weekend as 'raayderrz'.
So, we started out with ToGC, nearly a full Primal run, which is great to see from Management's point of view.. (although Genjuro hardly counts as a pugged member)
...
Beasts of Northrend did not go down well, after 4 attempts and half an hour of Veldrinn repeatedly dying because he 'needed more time to pewpew'.
So, to satisfy our Epeens, and swell them once again with the blood of some raid kills we hit ToC10...
After a bit of /licking Ajantis' Tricity.. we got down to it, and we promptly rewarded with a much easier BoN kill.
However... yet again, the gods of ToC hated upon Gazz, and constant connection issues meant a new healer was brought in. within an hour the rest of the instance was down, and our MT (Ekaterine) has his brand new shield.. no more crest of gay-deron!
Saturday night brought us into ICC10 once more,
3/12 came easily with... 'Im on a boat' causing the ears of some to bleed during the lootship fight (courtesy of gazz).
Saurfang caused a bit of an issue, that was inevitably resolved as tank positioning was moved and CC was much better managed.
Three moments of note in the gap between Saurfang and Fester were:
- The party wiped by pulling two valkyrie (it took us 10 mins to realise we couldnt win.. *sigh*)
- Veldrinn again got killed ( AGAIN! ), and Thorv thought it appropriate to teabag him, whilst Lol'ing myself, thorv was promptly killed twice in a row, as he stood in the same frosty gas.
- Veld hit the wrong button during a large pull, and accidentally hearthed to the argent tourney, the sound of his confused voice was frankly... fucking hilarious.
Plague Quarter Trash went down easily, and although more connection issues for Gazz meant a little bit of a wait, Fester was downed in 3 attempts.
The 'fun' started on Dreamwalker, with Gen explaining the fight we quickly got to work 'attempting' the fight...
several attempts later we gave up, however it should be noted we did better each attempt, and with a better offtank and several more attempts, Primal would have that shit down!
OH AND ZOMG WE BUGGED THE WEEKLY, WIN.RA!
Cya next week, Gazz.
MVP goes to: Healers, especially Gen for explanations, but the others for keeping the undergeared OT alive the whole time.
ALSO to Eka, for dealing with the OTs inability to 'taunt himself out of a paper bag'.

Guild Rules.
Primal
Listed are the rules governing raiding, behaviour and loot in the guild Primal on Saurfang US.
Also listed are various ‘common courtesies’ although you may be familiar with these courtesies it is recommended you read the latter section, as Management* may do something differently to what you are used to.
*Management refers to officers + GM
IMPORTANT: Before any detailed rules are given, all members should be aware that Primal has a zero tolerance policy towards bigotry, racism and any form of discrimination. Although at times it is within reason to ‘have a joke’. Reasonable boundaries must be maintained and in the event offence is caused Management may or may not issue warnings to members involved.
Raid Rules:
Part 1: Attendance:
1. When signing up for an event please do so:
a) 3-4 days before the event
b) With confidence in your ability to be present for the event.
2. Please be online 10-15 minutes before the prescribed time for even start; ALSO make sure to read event info, as occasionally invites may go out earlier than the shown time.
3. In the event that you are unable to attend a raid that you have selected ‘confirm’ for; you must provide 2 nights notice to Management, or be struck with a warning (warning system will be discussed later)
4. IMPORTANT: In summary, please make sure you can attend a raid when you sign up to it, if you may be able to attend select the ‘tentative’ option.
Part2: Preparation:
1. Considering the difficulty level of our current progression, flasks should be regularly used and kept ‘up’.
2. Please be prepared with several mana/HP potions of the highest possible rank (these are essential for ‘last minute’ efforts).
3. Research raid consumables to find out which are necessary for your class to raise its performance, although a fish/great feast will be dropped before bosses, there are still many cases in which a certain food may provide a more useful buff.
IMPORTANT: In summary, please make sure to be fully prepared for the given event, also remember that these consumables must be accounted for before the event starts or invites go out.
Part3: Loot Distribution;
1. One loot per raid per member. Unless: The piece dropped is not needed by anyone else in the raid.
2. A /roll system is used, whereby loot is rolled upon my members first for their MS, then their OS and finally for Disenchanting.
3. In the case that a member who has already won a piece of loot, wishes to roll on a second piece that is not needed by anyone for their main spec, but is wanted by someone for their off spec, the person who needs it for their main spec will always have priority; regardless of how many other pieces the member has received that raid.
4. When a Disenchant is reached, all members may choose to roll on the crystal, this does not count towards your ‘one loot per raid’.
Part3: Gear score, and what it means to Primal:
1. Gear score has had a huge effect on the way Pugging works on our server, and it is the opinion of Management that ‘GS’ is essentially BS.
2. However: Gear score has its place, and that lies in deciding whether or not a person has the basic ability to survive an encounter
3. Additionally: When choosing to participate in a raid, or when choosing whether or not to sign up for a raid do not hesitate based on a ‘low’ GS. Instead ask yourself:
a) Do I think I can participate and a make a valuable contribution to this raid?
b) Will my ‘low’ GS become a fall back or excuse for poor performance?
If the answer to the first question is yes, and the second no; then by all means sign up, and show up.
